Hospitalization and Specialty Care

Hospitalization & Specialty Care

Specialty Care

Patients who need a specialist’s care, and who qualify under QueensCare’s eligibility rules, are referred to the QueensCare Health Centers’ Chief Medical Officer, who may authorize a visit to one of many specialists contracted with QueensCare. At times, funding limitations for specialty care can restrict the ability of QueensCare to provide this care, so priority is generally given to the residents of QueensCare’s Primary Service Area.
